What is MBG Puzzles?
A free Android app with two brain games: Codebreaker, a number guessing game, and Word Puzzle, a word guessing game. Both work in ten languages and give coloured clues after every guess.
Is it really free?
Yes. The free edition has no ads, no purchases and no limit on how many games you play.
Where can I download it?
MBG Puzzles is coming soon to Google Play, for Android phones and tablets. There is no iPhone version yet.
Is Word Puzzle like Wordle?
It uses the same idea: guess a word and get green, yellow and grey clues. The differences are words of 4 to 8 letters, ten languages, as many games as you like, an Expert level, hints and a word of the day in every language.
Is Codebreaker like Mastermind or Bulls and Cows?
Yes, it is the same classic code-breaking idea with numbers. Here every digit gets its own clue in its own place, which makes it easier to learn. The secret has 4 to 8 digits and digits can repeat.
Is there a word game in Albanian, Bosnian, Turkish, Polish or Arabic?
Yes. Word Puzzle has its own word lists in all ten languages: English, Albanian (Shqip), Bosnian (Bosanski, Latin script), German, Spanish, French, Turkish, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil) and Arabic.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, from about 9 years. There are no ads, no chat and no links to social networks, and nothing about the player leaves the phone.
Does it need the internet?
No. Both games and the puzzles of the day work offline.
How do hints work?
After the third try, a hint opens one letter or digit at a place you have not found yet. A hint costs 1 credit and counts as 2 extra tries in the score. You get 10 free credits a day (up to 50 a week), and every solved puzzle of the day earns 2 more.
What data does the app collect?
Nothing, unless you join the optional world top 20 (from 13 years), which shows your player name, country and best scores. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics. Read the privacy policy.
Who makes MBG Puzzles?
MBG – Merkur Beqiri Games, the games of independent developer Merkur Beqiri. MBG is based in Kosovo and operates worldwide: the games are made for players everywhere, in ten languages. Questions and ideas are welcome by phone, WhatsApp or e-mail.
